Domestic violence plays in community languages [CD-ROM]
-- Immigrant Women’s Speakout Association Inc. (2005)
Abstract
A CD with two radio plays in four African languages – Arabic Sudanese, Dinka, Krio and Somali, and in Dari (Afghani). Two segments are presented in each language to send the message that domestic violence is unacceptable, that it is against the law, it causes harm and breaks families, and that it is more than physical violence. Voices of men and women are used. Numbers are given for NSW services. There is an accompanying booklet in English translation.
